Business hours:

Website

Alexander Boyd Solicitors is really big on family immigration. They often handle spouse visas, family reunion visas, and help people bring their loved ones to the UK legally and safely.

They also handle British citizenship, indefinite leave to remain, and help with asylum claims, which tend to be a lot more complex.

We also noticed they don’t shy away from tough cases, like visa refusals or people stuck in legal limbo.

We really like how Alexander Boyd himself works directly with clients. Some of the people we spoke to said he gives straightforward advice and helps untangle messy immigration rules without making it feel like a lecture.

Also, he speaks six languages, including Ukrainian and Polish. It’s really helpful if English isn’t your first language.

We also appreciated that they offer a free initial consultation and use fixed fees. This way, you know exactly what you’re signing up for.

That said, we also heard from some people that it took longer to get a reply from them via email and calls. If this is something that bothers you, it might not be a wise choice.

Pros

  • Great with family immigration
  • Handles the tough stuff
  • Alexander Boyd works directly with clients
  • Speaks six languages
  • Free initial consultation
  • Fixed fees

Cons

  • Response time can be slow

Khan Law Chambers looks like they know their stuff, especially when it comes to business immigration. They help businesses get employer sponsorship licenses and sort out skilled worker visas, global mobility options, and all the newer visa types.

On the personal immigration side, they seem to cover pretty much everything—spouse visas, parent and child applications, visit visas, and more.

Some of the client’s feedback we heard was really positive, especially around how well-prepared they made clients feel.

One guy said they helped him get a work visa faster than expected, mostly because the firm prepped him so well and laid out the process clearly.

We also appreciate that they offer free consultations if you decide to proceed with them.

We did come across a person saying they didn’t get the right checklist for their visa route, and never got a reply immediately when they asked for help. It seems like an isolated case, though, but it’s still worth noting.

Pros

  • Strong expertise in business immigration
  • Wide range of personal immigration services
  • Positive feedback about prep work and client guidance
  • Faster-than-expected results
  • Free consultations if you proceed with them

Cons

  • One report of poor communication
  • Risk of uneven follow-through

I will 100% use them again for any future immigration matters

“I had a great experience with Khan Law Chambers. I will 100% use them again for any future immigration matters and highly recommend their services to anyone. You’ll be smiling and satisfied at the end. They are true experts with years of experience. Thank you once again for making my application process so easy and smooth. Truly the best!”

Imtiaz Immigration Associates covers a lot of ground. They don’t just handle the basics; they really know the fine details of each type.

If you’ve ever tried to fill out a UK visa application on your own, you know how picky the Home Office can be. One wrong document or vague answer, and you’re out. Their team seems to get ahead of that with careful prep.

They also handle the tougher stuff, like asylum claims and deportation defence. That’s not something every firm is willing or able to do well. From what we’ve seen, they treat these cases with the care they deserve.

One thing clients kept mentioning is how organised and detail-focused their team is. They double-check paperwork, write strong cover letters, and make sure no piece of evidence is missing.

Their communication is another win since people said they got quick replies from them.

We’re going to be honest, though: they’re not the cheapest firm around. So if you’re on a tight budget, you might feel the pinch.

Pros

  • Wide range of services
  • Strong legal knowledge
  • Thorough preparation
  • Specialised in complex cases
  • Good communication

Cons

  • Higher fees

Everything was dealt with in a timely manner

Everything was dealt with in a timely manner and I could not be happier. Anyone seeking legal assistance regarding their visa applications should 100% contact Imtiaz Immigration Associates without any hesitation. Thanks a lot for your exceptional service and keep up the good work!”

Imtiaz guided me through every requirement

“I went through the process of obtaining my unmarried partner visa with the help of Imtiaz & Co., and it was a real struggle to convince the Home Office and the government to grant the right to remain. Thankfully, Imtiaz guided me through every requirement, helped with the necessary documents, and resolved all complications. He treated me like a brother and was a tremendous support during difficult times. Not only did he act as a solicitor, but he also provided the personal care and support of a family member. This is why I highly recommend him for any visa processes or complicated legal issues. While there may be delays due to the Home Office, Imtiaz is always there to assist you when you’re at his office.”

4. Katani & Co Solicitors

The head of Katani & Co Solicitors, Kamyar Katani, has been in the immigration field for over 20 years. He’s taken on tricky cases and even handled the Khaliq case (which was a big deal in the student visa world).

This experience made us confident in how their team handles simple and complex cases.

One of the things we liked was how well they seemed to understand how the Home Office works. Not just the rules, but how decisions actually get made. That means they can help clients avoid mistakes that get applications denied.

They also tailor advice to each case instead of using a general approach, which is a nice change.

If you’re also a business trying to bring skilled workers to the UK, they speak your language. Kamyar’s background in business gives them an edge here. They help employers with sponsorship, and they seem to get what companies need.

Now, for the not-so-perfect parts. A few clients said communication could be slow. We think they could tighten up more on this with regular updates.

Pros

  • Head lawyer has over 20 years of experience
  • Handles complex cases
  • Strong grasp of Home Office procedures
  • Tailored legal advice
  • Great for business immigration

Cons

  • Occasional slow communication

Thank you so much for your passionate, thoughtful, and brilliant work

5. Compass Immigration Services

Address: Suite 4.5, 111 Union St

Phone: +44 141 227 3942
Business hours:

  • Monday to Friday: 9 AM – 6 PM
  • Saturday to Sunday: Closed

Website

We really liked how stress-free Compass Immigration Services’ process is. For £125, you get a one-hour consultation, either in person, by phone, or via video.

But this isn’t just a chat. They follow it up with a personalised advice letter that breaks down your options, what documents you need, and how to move forward. It’s like a game plan for your visa, and it’s surprisingly detailed for a first step.

If you decide to let them handle your whole case, they go all in. They fill out your forms, check and upload your evidence, write the cover letters, and stick with you until a decision is made.

This full package takes the pressure off and reduces the chance of mistakes.

They also offer an evidence checking service, which is 35% of their normal fee. You prep the application yourself, they double-check your documents and give written feedback. It’s a nice middle ground if you’re confident but still want expert eyes.

One thing to know, though, is that they seem more “thorough and steady” than “fast and scrappy.” If you’re looking for fast replies or chasing urgent deadlines, they might not be it. But, at least you’re sure it’s handled really well.

Pros

  • Detailed first step
  • Full-service support
  • Reduces the risk of error
  • Evidence checking option
  • Flexible appointments

Cons

  • Not the fastest
  • High initial consultation cost
