Our new mission was pretty simple: find the best custom-made tailors in Liverpool. But instead of just listening to local buzz, we did the one thing most people aren’t willing to do – drop thousands of quid to get firsthand experience.
We booked fittings, ordered custom pieces (under the guise of attending a friend’s wedding), and tried the whole experience from start to finish. Some are worth scrapping every shrapnel; others… eh, not so much.
We included the only ones that really stood out to us. Read on if you’re curious about how each experience turned out – whether it’s worth it or just another expensive lesson you’d better just leave with a crazed team like us!

After multiple visits, we saw how personal the experience is at Signature. We had a trial, and during the private consultation, they gave their full attention.
There’s great care given to fabrics and measurements. It didn’t feel rushed at all, making us confident with their approach.
The craftsmanship stood out the most. Details like linings were comfortable and refined. A lot of clients also said they’re built to last, looking new even after multiple wears.
The turnaround time was also as smooth as our experience. Fittings and adjustments were handled quickly. They even had a barbershop on-site, in case the client wanted to complete the look with great hair.
The overall place was pretty high-end. They offer a welcoming place plus drinks – we were taken care of from start to finish.
The only issue is that multiple visits may be required to achieve the best fit possible. This can be frustrating, though we understand that precision is prioritised.

John was amazing to work with. He’s very personable and made the entire experience less intimidating.
During fittings, his team guided us patiently. We did a suite hire service to get a complete set in one go, and it was as convenient as they promised.
The bespoke tailoring went above our expectations. The range of premium fabrics is impressive, most of which were sourced from Great Britain, Italy, and Germany.
Surprisingly, the costs aren’t too expensive when compared to other custom tailors in Liverpool. They’re transparent with their pricing, too, so clients aren’t left guessing.
The flexibility impressed us during busy moments. One of our staff members needed adjustments, and they handled it within minutes.
For clothes made for special events like weddings, something like this is definitely a major advantage.
That said, we did notice some miscommunication with total costs. We also heard some complaints about them being dismissive during busy days.

Andréa Kọsta is the kind of expert you want to meet for premium, yet laid-back tailoring services in Liverpool. He made everything relaxed and thoughtful. We were even offered a drink during our visit.
Sitting down one-on-one, we liked how he immediately understood our needs. We then explored fabric options, where we were guided to the best option for the event.
Materials were sourced from Italy and the British Isles. There are also plenty of garments available, including suits, jackets, and knitwear.
The production process felt smooth and well-paced. When we returned for the fitting, we could tell how each garment was carefully made. Any adjustment necessary was noted.
The overall turnaround was only about 4 to 6 weeks. This is relatively fast, even if a second fitting was needed.
Appointments are necessary, which can be hard to book as he’s pretty in-demand. A 50% deposit is also required before pushing through with the tailoring process.

What attracted us to Michael’s was how relationship-driven the service was. They were the only ones who even considered our lifestyle when tailoring the suits.
The consultation experience was flexible and clear. We appreciated the structured wardrobe packages, which made it easy to understand what we were getting.
The craftsmanship was a true work of art. Every garment features strong attention to detail, from the linings to the monograms.
They even incorporated functional customisations, so each one felt tailored to the individual body. Moving felt easy and comfortable, and not at all restrictive.
The fittings and alterations were also seamless. Any adjustments we handled fast. The following time we met, the garment fit like a glove.
The team offered us some useful tips when it comes to which sizes and fabrics would look best for our frame.
The only drawback was the timing. According to some clients, suits can take longer to complete if there are many design tweaks.

Beespoke Tailoring gave us that boutique experience we’re looking for.
The consultation was both thorough and enjoyable. We appreciate how precise they were when it comes to measurements.
They also helped us explore fabrics and custom tailoring options. This made us feel more informed about the decision.
We really liked the entire showroom, too. We managed to browse menswear and womenswear options without being pressured to get anything.
The production is timely and reliable for standard suits. We did a first fitting, and it came out around 6 weeks after the consultations.
We were really impressed with the attention to detail and construction. The garment fit beautifully and felt comfortable to move around in.
Each one had a polished silhouette that highlighted both posture and style.
Any adjustments were completed promptly. So, we really liked how efficient they are with every detail.
While they’re fast in that regard, there are certain pieces that really demand waiting. That means, they may not be the best choice if you need some pieces within a short span of time.
