1. Tunes Times Tables

Website: https://tunestimestables.com/
Areas Served: Birmingham UK
Contact: 0330 333 8703 / 07947 069 356
Hours: Monday-Saturday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM | Sunday, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Helping kids master multiplication usually involves boring flashcards, but Tunes Times Tables teaches through rhythm, movement, and fun participation.
This totally flips the script for children who struggle with traditional memorization, including those with dyslexia or ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder). They use a brilliant “30 Second Blueprint” requiring just a minute and a half of daily practice.
I chatted with a parent recently whose son used this program, and she was thrilled with his rapid progress. They also offer specific Year 4 Multiplication Tables Check (MTC) preparation alongside tailored one-to-one private tuition.
This system boasts a 20-year history of success, giving you real peace of mind.
It does focus specifically on multiplication rather than broader math topics, though. Still, for building that crucial foundation, it feels incredibly hard to beat.
Gives children a massive confidence boost and, I love that for them
A fantastic programme! Very engaging, fun and does all that NK says it will. My child attended the sessions at a time where learning felt tedious, however after our first session that certainly changed. The songs are very catchy, and from start to finish the children were engaged and eager to share what they had learnt. Not only is Tunes Times Table amazing for teaching times tables, it gives children a massive confidence boost and, I love that for them. Thank you NK and team!

The tutors were great at teaching
My experience at this tuition was great! The tutors were great at teaching as they are all qualified as they are all heads of their departments.
Their teaching skills are unmatched compared to any other tuition centre. My older brothers came here for tuition and got grade 8s+ in maths English language and all 3 sciences! I hope to follow in their footsteps as I am coming to my end of the my time at this remarkable tuition centre! I hope to return for A-Levels.

The support given by the individual tutors is outstanding
Before I had started this tuition I was achieving grade 6s constantly in my maths, science and English language mocks and topic tests but after just a couple of weeks my grades had seen a significant increase. The support given by the individual tutors is outstanding and the level of knowledge provided by them is unique and unlike anything I had received in previous tuitions.
As a result my grades skyrocketed to 9s in my final exams.
My only regret is not attending sooner.

3. Mathnasium

Address: 132 High street King’s Heath B14 7LG
Contact: 0121 824 6442
Hours: Monday-Thursday, 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM | Friday, Closed | Saturday, 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Mathnasium uses a unique proprietary method built around comprehensive assessments and completely customized learning plans.
I actually took my nephew here for a free initial assessment, and they were brilliant at identifying exactly where he was getting stuck. They focus entirely on math, using mental, visual, and tactile techniques to ensure students truly understand the concepts.
This center caters to a huge variety of skill levels. They help struggling students catch up while also pushing advanced learners ahead of their school curriculum. They report some impressive numbers, with 90% of their students seeing improved school grades.
You can choose to attend face-to-face sessions at their King’s Heath center or jump into live online classes.
However, they do recommend attending two to three times a week to see real progress. Also, their tutors only teach up to Higher Tier GCSE, so A-Level students will need to look elsewhere.
Actually make math less stressful
Mathnasium has been a great experience for me. The tutors explain things clearly and actually make math less stressful. I’ve seen a big improvement in my skills since starting. The instructor, Haider, makes maths easy to understand and is by far the best tutor at Mathnasium, I’d really recommend him.

We’ve seen incredible progress
We’ve had a fantastic experience with Mathnasium. My son has been attending for the past seven weeks, and we’ve seen incredible progress. His confidence has grown, and he’s catching up in areas where he previously struggled. The tutors are excellent, and even his math teacher at school recommended continuing the tutoring sessions because of his noticeable improvement.
The environment is welcoming and supportive, and my son looks forward to going after schoo. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for quality math tutoring.

5. RP Tutors – 11+ Mocks, GCSE & A-level Maths

Website: https://rptutors.co.uk/
Address: 4 Sundial Ln, Great Barr
Contact: 07735555493 / 07855455434
Hours: Monday-Sunday, 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM
RP Tutors positions itself specifically as an 11+ and mathematics specialist rather than a generic tuition provider. Run by a husband-and-wife team, they bring over 25 years of combined secondary and grammar school teaching experience.
Lessons are hosted in their own home to create a comfortable, welcoming learning environment. They personally instruct every single student, meaning your child gets direct attention from the actual owners.
But their dedicated 11+ program features mock exams held under realistic exam conditions at an external venue. Their math classes are smartly divided by ability and target grades to ensure everyone learns at the right pace.
And the best part is that they provide highly detailed progress reports so parents can track exactly which topics need more work.
While the home-based setting is cozy, some teenagers might prefer a traditional commercial learning center. Plus, families must pay extra for mandatory homework books and website subscriptions alongside regular fees.
Their personalised approach to tutoring helped my child excel in math
RP Tutors is simply amazing! Their personalised approach to tutoring helped my child excel in math. The tutors are knowledgeable and caring, creating a positive learning environment. I highly recommend RP Tutors for anyone seeking top-notch educational support.
