The 5 best massage places in London worth every pound
After a long week of late work and city chaos, I finally booked a professional massage, something I had been long overdue for. That single hour reminded me of the power of good hands and the right atmosphere in melting away stress.
If you have ever felt worn down by London life, you will understand how much difference a proper massage can make. From deep-tissue tension relief to luxurious spa rituals, the city is full of hidden gems that deliver more than just relaxation.
After trying several spots across London, here are the ones that truly stood out and are worth every pound for the care, skill, and serenity they offer.
How much do massage places charge in London?
Massage places in London charge between £60 and £100 for a one-hour session. Depending on the service, premium spas or hotel-based therapists can cost £120–£180 per treatment. Prices vary based on the therapist’s expertise, location, and type of massage.
1. Spa & Massage Earls Court

Address: 125 Earls Ct Rd, SW5 9RH
Phone: +44 20 7835 2355
Business hours:
Monday – Sunday: 9 AM – 10 PM
I visited Spa & Massage Earls Court after hearing great things about their deep-tissue massages – and they didn’t disappoint.
My therapist took time to ask about specific problem areas before starting, then adjusted the pressure throughout the session to focus on tension around my shoulder and lower back.
What also stood out was the oil they used. It didn’t feel greasy like the ones other massage spas tend to use. I would’ve appreciated it if they explained what kind of oil it was, but since it didn’t have an overpowering scent, I still found it pleasant overall.
At around £60 for a one-hour massage, it’s one of the better-value options in the city, especially given the consistency and professionalism of the service.
I also appreciated how flexible their hours were. It was easy to book a same-day appointment or even walk in during quieter hours. Plus, since they’re open until late at night, you can easily pop in after work hours.
It’s not the fanciest spa in London. You won’t find Bali-inspired interiors or luxury amenities like a jacuzzi. But I’d say Spa & Massage Earl Court delivers at what matters most: skilled therapists and results that are genuinely refreshing.
Expert care and personalised treatments
“This is my third visit and I always have the best treatments here. My wonderful masseuse told me about my twisted pelvis which I had no idea about but I’ve later found is linked to the lower back pain I’ve been experiencing.
A lovely, relaxing spa with expert staff. I’ll continue going here again and again!”

2. Opulence Thai Spa

Phone: +44 7517 229638
Business hours:
Monday – Friday: 11 AM – 9 PM
Saturday: 10 AM – 9 PM
Sunday: 10 AM – 8 PM
Opulence Thai Spa combines traditional Thai with a trendy and relaxing interior.
As soon as you walk into the spa, you’re greeted by soft lighting, subtle Thai aromas, and tranquil music that instantly puts you at ease. The calm, welcoming atmosphere sets the tone even before your treatment begins.
Each massage feels like it was done with care and attention to the areas where you need relief. My therapist checked in regularly about pressure and spent extra time on the tight spots in my shoulders and lower back.
Their wide range of services, from pregnancy and couple massage to face gym treatments, makes them stand out. Prices start at a reasonable £60, and the services are of a high quality.
We appreciated how easy it was to book through Fresha and how accommodating the staff were when we had to make last-minute changes.
This massage place is small and can get crowded, but the quality of the massage makes up for it. It’s one of the few places that combines traditional Thai with a trendy London twist.
Exceptional spa experience and attentive service
“I had the pleasure of visiting Opulence Thai Spa for my birthday treat, which consisted of a massage and facial. I was cheerfully greeted by the receptionist, and the treatments were explained.
My therapist was attentive throughout, checking that the pressure of the massage was good for me. The facial was gentle yet cleansing – leaving my face feeling soft and rejuvenated.
All in all, the experience was great from start to finish. I couldn’t recommend them more. This certainly won’t be my last visit.”

3. Iris Avenue Nail and Beauty Bar

Address: 32 Store St, WC1E 7BS
Phone: +44 20 7636 8866
Business hours:
Monday – Wednesday and Saturday: 10 AM – 7 PM
Thursday – Friday: 10 AM – 8 PM
Sunday: 11 AM – 6 PM
I spent an afternoon at Iris Avenue Nail and Beauty Bar, which truly lived up to its reputation as one of the chicest places to get beauty treatments in London.
The salon is one of the most stylish spots I’ve visited. The simple, minimalist decor and soft pink lighting give the place a calm, high-class vibe. There’s also a cocktail bar inside that makes the spa feel more like a relaxing lounge than a nail salon.
I tried a gel manicure (£36) and a full-body massage (£75), which were both delivered by attentive, highly skilled therapists. The manicure was meticulous, with no visible streaks or polish spilling over the cuticles.
The massage was equally impressive. It combined long, gentle Swedish strokes with targeted deep-tissue pressure where it was needed most. I felt the tension in the back, shoulders, and neck really melt away during the session.
I also really appreciate the use of aromatherapy oils. They added another layer of calm, which helped me relax even more.
One thing I’d say, though, is to book your sessions early. They tend to get fully booked easily.
Consistently excellent service and relaxing atmosphere
“I highly recommend Iris Avenue. I’ve always had a fantastic service, regardless of whether I’m receiving a facial, massage, or manicure.
The environment was relaxing and clean, and the staff pay attention to small details to make your time smooth and comfortable. Recently, I got the step-out massage, and the masseuse was kind, friendly and clearly communicated.
If you’re getting a massage, make sure to arrive a little early to fill out the form.”
4. Massaggi

Address: 112 Marylebone High St, W1U 4SA
Phone: +44 20 7226 4502
Business hours:
Monday – Friday: 10 AM – 8:30 PM
Saturday: 10 AM – 6:30 PM
Sunday: Closed
When I visited Massaggi in Marylebone, what stood out was their holistic approach. Their staff emphasised that they focus on improving posture, flexibility, and mental clarity rather than just relieving tension.
This is evident in how they start each session with an assessment and tailor each treatment for maximum relief.
When I tried their deep tissue massage, I was impressed by the therapists’ skills. She focused precisely on my lower back because that’s where I was complaining. She relieved muscle tightness and the discomfort I was feeling.
Massagi also offers the Magrin Method, a mind-body coaching treatment rather than a traditional hands-on massage. It focuses on helping clients release stress and limiting beliefs, guiding them toward a “SenzaMente” state for mental and emotional clarity.
Beyond the quality of the massage itself, Massaggi also wins when it comes to convenience. They offer mobile massage services, making it easier for customers to receive a massage without worrying about traffic.
Massagi also offers massage packages that can offer great value for regular customers. The packages range from 6 to 10 hours worth of massage and target different needs, whether relaxation or recalibration.
But I have to be honest that the treatments are costly. The packages, although they can help save a few pounds, are still expensive at £465 to £715.
Transformative healing with expert guidance
“I had the pleasure of receiving a session with Ben while traveling in London, and it was truly transformative.
I had been experiencing numbness in my physical body, and his work and wisdom helped me begin my healing journey. Even after just one session, I felt the profound effect of his skill and insight.
Ben also offered guidance beyond the session, suggesting I find a therapist to work on the numbness in my right arm regularly. His guidance felt like it came from the universe itself.
I followed his suggestion, found an amazing therapist in my area, and after about five sessions, the numbness completely disappeared.
Ben is a true healer, carrying deep wisdom and a powerful, intuitive presence. I feel so grateful to have experienced his work and guidance—it has truly made a lasting impact on my body and well-being.”
