The 5 best massage places in Liverpool that you’ll actually look forward to
When Friday rolls around, a simple pat on the back just doesn’t cut it. Some weeks call for a full-on kneading session to shake out all that stress and get you ready to tackle the next one.
Lucky for you, our team has done the hard work and scoped out the meat massage spots around Liverpool. These are the places we’d happily visit every week ourselves.
How much do massages cost in Liverpool?
A typical 60-minute massage in Liverpool usually costs around £45–80. For something more intense, like deep tissue or hot stone massages, prices are often in the £50–£100 range.
1. Pure Therapy Clinic

Address: 40 Rodney St
Phone: +44 7411 952988
Business hours:
- Monday to Friday: 10 AM – 8 PM
- Saturday to Sunday: 9 AM – 8 PM
Pure Therapy Clinic’s menu is impressively varied, and that range alone already gives them a bit of an edge.
If you want something to decompress without being kneaded like dough, their aromatherapy is an ideal treatment. It’s gentle and smells divine.
Then there’s the more specialised side of the clinic. They go beyond the basics with cupping, pregnancy massage, and even lymphatic drainage.
That last one seemed to be a crowd favourite. One customer said he nearly dozed off mid-session because it was so calming.
Their treatment packages are also a nice touch. If you’re an organised type who likes getting good value out of repeat visits, the way they bundle sessions can save a bit of money. And everything is clearly priced, which we appreciate.
But even with all that, Pure Therapy isn’t invincible. We did come across someone who tried their Indian head massage and left feeling a bit let down.
It wasn’t a disaster, just one of those mismatches between expectations and executions that can happen when a clinic offers a broad mix of treatments.
She made me feel comfortable throughout the session
“The massage was absolutely wonderful! Thank you so much, Daniella — your work is truly professional and very relaxing. She made me feel comfortable throughout the session and really focused on the areas that needed attention. Highly recommended!”

“This was my first experience with Pure Therapy, and it was brilliant. had a lovely, relaxing Manual Lymphatic Drainage treatment and nearly fell asleep; it was so good. Daniella was really professional and thorough, and I knew I was in good hands from the beginning. I would really recommend Pure Therapy to anyone.”

2. Panviman Thai massage

Address: 20 Stanley St
Phone: +44 151 352 1159
Business hours:
- Monday to Sunday: 10 AM — 11 PM
If you’re heading in for something on the firmer, more therapeutic side, Panviman Thai Massage is a great choice.
They lean heavily into traditional Thai Massage—the kind that’s built on stretches and passive yoga. The range is actually broader than we expected: Thai herbal massage, sports massage, head massage, and more.
One thing we liked from a consumer standpoint is the flexible session lengths. Whether you’ve got 30 minutes between errands or you’re ready to commit to 120 minutes of being unkinked, they don’t force you into one standard slot.
From what we’ve heard, this spot’s strength is their therapists’ technique and how they could really match pressure.
One person came in tight from marathon training and left feeling restored because the therapist actually gave the firm pressure requested.
However, they’re pretty in demand. Walk-ins occasionally work out, but relying on luck probably isn’t smart. We suggest booking ahead.
Exactly the standard and technique you would expect
“Absolutely amazing! The staff are so lovely and welcoming. The massage was amazing. Not very many places understand how to do deep tissue massages properly, but they absolutely do. I had Emma, and she did such a wonderful job. The right balance between deep and relaxing. Exactly the standard and technique you would expect from a Thai massage.”

3. D Stress massage & wellness

Address: 01 Old Hall St
Phone: +44 7377 613162
Business hours:
- Monday to Friday: 10 AM – 10 PM
- Saturday: 10 AM – 8:30 PM
- Sunday: 2 PM – 8 PM
D Stress Massage & Wellness really gets why people look for massage in the first place. They pretty much checked off relief, convenience, and expertise.
The first thing that stood out to us was their “Taste of Massage” session. Twenty minutes for £20 is the no-pressure introduction that even massage sceptics can get behind.
It’s good for anyone who wants to test the waters without committing to a full session.
Then there’s their mobile massage service, which sets them apart. Not every wellness place offers this, and for some people, it’s genuinely a game-changer.
Mobility challenges, no childcare, or simply the desire to roll straight into bed afterwards—customers repeatedly mentioned how convenient this was.
Their therapists are skilled and thoughtful too. People said they talk clients through on what they’re doing, why they’re doing it, and how their lifestyle might be contributing to the tension.
Of course, being good at what they do has a downside: availability. With so many services offered and demand seemingly high, getting a spot might require booking early.
The massage was amazing and also educational
“From start to finish, this was a truly professional service. Daniel walks you through what he will do from start to finish and ensures he understands your lifestyle to target areas on the body that could be under more stress. The massage was amazing and also educational. After the massage, Daniel gave me some tips on how to target the areas that were more painful to help prevent injuries.”

Each massage session has increased my range of movement more and more
“My lower back pain was so bad when I first came to see Daniel that it took me a while just standing up and sitting down from all the tightness and pain. I can’t thank Daniel enough for his expertise in remedial massage. Each massage session has increased my range of movement more and more. I am much more agile now and the pain has decreased a lot in my back and legs.”

4. Jasmine Spa Thai Massage

Address: 63 Renshaw St
Phone: +44 151 709 8071
Business hours:
- Monday to Saturday: 10 AM – 10 PM
- Sunday: 12 PM – 8 PM
The therapists seem to be the real backbone of Jasmine Spa. We even spoke to a former rugby player who talked about leaving the treatment room feeling like decades of old stiffness had finally been dealt with.
We also noticed how the therapists balance technique with comfort. One feedback from a plus-size client pointed out how wide and stable the tables were.
It’s a small detail, but it says a lot about who they’re considerate toward and how they’ve set up their environment.
Their service menu is straightforward, transparent, and flexible. Session lengths range from short 30-minute fixes to 120-minute marathons, and aromatherapy oils are an inexpensive add-on.
The late closing time also makes them a good after-work sanctuary.
They also have a unique highlight: the Four-Hand Massage. Two therapists working in sync is a rare treat and makes for an immersive experience if you’re after something a bit special.
Now for the weak spot. Several people noted that the receptionist can come across as unfriendly. We hope they can do something about it.
Exactly what I needed – highly recommend!
“I had the most amazing Thai massage with Farah. My body was extremely tight all over, and I’d been struggling with back pain as I’m a therapist myself, so I spend most days on my feet. She worked out every single knot with such skill. I left feeling lighter, looser, and so much more comfortable. Exactly what I needed – highly recommend!”

Had one of the most amazing Thai massages today
“Had one of the most amazing Thai massages today from Emma! I’m a retired rugby player with neck and shoulder issues, plus a netball player with tight calves, and she managed to loosen joints tight from the 90’s! I’m backpacking at the moment, so I was super sore and almost danced out the door to feel so unlocked. Bonus too, as plus size girl, the tables are so wide and steady…”

5. Estudio de Masajes

Address: Southwood Rd
Phone: +44 7421 218758
Business hours:
- Monday to Tuesday: 9:30 AM – 9:15 PM
- Wednesday to 9 PM
Estudio de Masajes stood out to us for being purposely uncomplicated. They’re not trying to be a full-blown spa buffet. They’re very upfront about specialising in Swedish massage and sticking to that classic formula.
Jay, the male message therapist, is the reason this place works so well. We heard from feedback that he really knows how to make a session feel long and relaxing, even if it’s only 60 or 75 minutes.
He layers his techniques smoothly—long strokes, kneading, light taps, even the little chopping moves.
The little touches (heated towels, hot stones, a massage gun, and complimentary water) also make the whole experience thoughtful.
This spot is especially good for men looking for a relaxed, professional massage. Women can come too, as long as you’re comfortable with a male therapist.
Where it might not be for everyone is the limited options. If you’re looking for deep tissue or sports massage, they don’t have that here.
The studio also doesn’t have multiple therapists, so availability may be limited.
Very professional and one of the best massage experiences I have had
“Excellent studio. Well equipped and very tranquil. J was a great host, made me feel comfortable and welcome as soon as I walked in. Explained everything to me. Very professional and one of the best massage experiences I have had. I will be returning!”
