The 5 Best Pilates Studios in Leeds for Stronger Cores and Happier Bodies

  • Instructor Expertise and Credentials: We looked for certified instructors who can adapt exercises for injury rehabilitation, prenatal needs, or advanced fitness goals.
  • Class Sizes and Personal Attention: Smaller class caps ensure teachers can monitor alignment and offer hands-on corrections. We prioritised spaces that keep group numbers intimate rather than packing rooms like a standard gym.
  • Equipment Quality and Variety: Modern, well-maintained Reformer carriages and versatile props provide a safer and more effective workout. We evaluated the condition of the apparatus and the diversity of class styles offered.
  • Pricing Value and Intro Offers: High-quality coaching should remain accessible through fair drop-in rates and discounted starter packages. We checked whether studios offer budget-friendly trial bundles to help beginners start affordably.

Finding the right Pilates studio can feel a little overwhelming with so many options out there. We’ve bounced from one class to another (and tried a few questionable reformers!) to figure out which places are actually worth the hype.

Whether you’re new to Pilates or looking to level up your core game, there’s definitely a studio that’ll fit your vibe. Now, we’re sharing our favourite spots, from chic boutique spaces to relaxing and calming spots where the instructors know your name.

So, if you’re ready to stretch, let’s jump right into the best Pilates studios in Leeds!

If you’re in the Birmingham area, we found the best Pilates spots there too!

Classes are suitable for all

Such a welcoming and friendly studio. I have loved both the pilates and yoga classes. Such a mix of ages and levels and classes are suitable for all. I really like that they have a welcome deal which means you can try out the classes before committing to a membership. Can’t recommend enough!

After each session I have great movement and less pain

Had 6 sessions with Emma to help get flexibility back, specifically in my shoulder following a frozen shoulder. After each session I have great movement and less pain. Emma was brilliant, making sure I had the right movement, explaining what she was doing and why and that she was using yoga and Pilates to help me. Emma was excellent!

Try it and love it!

My 1:1 reformer sessions with Alison are simply awesome!  Alison’s depth of  knowledge of how precise exercise and breathing can provide both strength and wellbeing have been a key factor in recovery from a knee injury. She ensures my weekly sessions give me that real feel good boost after long days at work. Try it and love it!

Alison’s beginner class is friendly and encouraging

Starting a pilates class was the best thing I did this year and my only regret is not plucking up the courage sooner. Alison’s beginner class is friendly and encouraging. Alternatives are given so you can try more but are not pushed beyond what you are comfortable to try. Always come away feeling great. Brilliant.

I liked my first class so much that I went back the day after

I definitely recommend this studio. Everything is worth it: the location, the equipment, the flows, the staff, the support, other clients. It was my first time doing Pilates and reformer for that matter. I liked my first class so much that I went back the day after and  even bought a 5 class-pass. The staff is lovely and very helpful!

I took two classes with the owner, and it was fantastic

Such a lovely studio!!!! I took two classes with the owner, and it was fantastic. Her classes were challenging and creative. The attention to each clients form and positioning really showcased how knowledgeable she is as an instructor. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a gorgeous reformer studio!

BLOC STUDIO Reformer Pilates does this across two dedicated spaces, with a Reformer studio in Chapel Allerton and a separate mat studio in Roundhay.

Beyond regular classes, they offer private sessions for small friend groups, work teams, and special celebrations. For more specialised support, Kat Hargrave, a qualified physiotherapist and Reformer instructor, leads in-house clinical sessions.

If you’re new to Reformer Pilates, an eight-person introductory taster helps you get comfortable with the Align C8 Pro machines before jumping into regular sessions.
