I tried Dave’s a couple of times, so I know how dependable they are. Over the years, I’ve brought different types of garments here, from simple tees to heavier coats.
What I really liked was the speed. I always get quick alterations, and I manage to get the clothes back within 1 to 2 hours.
Every time I check the results, I’m happy that nothing looks sloppy. The stitching looked strong and clean.
The fit was also spot on, as if the suit was custom-made just for my body.
Customer service was honest and straightforward. Apart from the local charm, they’re also keen on giving practical advice instead of upselling.
Pricing is generally fair for the quality of work. But of course, the more complex the request is, the higher the rate is.

I’ve had Zipyard do a wide range of garments, from simple trousers to more delicate fabrics. And yup – they were able to handle everything seamlessly, making them a versatile choice.
Their same-day service takes about 5 hours, so I’m happy that they have a 1-hour express service available.
Other than that, minor fixes like zipper repairs take only about 5 to 10 minutes.
Checking the workmanship, the quality is polished and precise. The stitching on the pieces was clear and almost invisible.
Even the fabric looked smooth and intact, almost like any damage had never been there.
Customer service is pretty good. When I asked questions, they explained the processes clearly, so I know what should be done for that specific garment.
I actually had some complex requests, too, and they accommodated those just as well.
That said, the place can be busy to the point where a simple alteration can take weeks. We recommend calling ahead first to see their availability.

Roj Tailor is a go-to whenever I want high-quality results. I really appreciate the consistency of service.
The stitching is always good and firm. The fabric sat smoothly, and the pieces felt well-shaped when retired – like they were made that way originally.

“I’d never used a tailor service before so had no idea what to expect in terms of cost/time. I went in with a pair of trousers that needed shortening. I had also brought a pair that were the right length, and the guy glanced at them together for about two seconds and somehow managed to work out and memorise the exact length that needed to be taken off the longer pair. He said I could come back tomorrow and that the work would only cost £10. I then asked him how much it would be to do a small repair on a fleece and he said it wouldn’t take long and he’d do it for free! I picked up my items the next day and they were perfect. This guy is a proper legend and I’ll be recommending his shop to everyone!”

Apart from their killer name, I really liked Stitches for the level of care they offer.
They handle each alteration with incredible precision. Seams, cuffs, vents, and even leather trims looked flawless.
The turnaround time is good. For instance, suit sleeves can be shortened in under 2 hours. For more complex dresses, the average is about 3 days.
What reassured me, though, was customers confirming that they didn’t experience delays for these services.
Another nice touch is how well they protect each garment. There are covers and hangers, so all pieces are in pristine condition. This gives a nice, premium touch.
Pricing is reasonable for the quality and speed. However, we did notice that a few items cost a bit more for alterations here.
We recommend checking quotes ahead of time if unsure.
