Burgh Joinery is headed by Innes Buckley, who stood out to us for his great communication, from start to finish. Clients said they felt that Innes was really trying his best to impart all the possible options while considering their budgets.
We also appreciate his craftsmanship. His track record effectively shows the range of things he can do with his hands. Our personal favourite is the different styles of built-in shelves he created.
Aside from bespoke joinery services, he’s also capable of other carpentry services. Another one of the many services he offers is flooring. He has experience in fitting different types of flooring, including hardwood and vinyl.
The range of external joinery he can do is also impressive. He can be hired for decking, front door, and fencing installation needs (and many more).
The only drawback is that he works together with only a few people, so expect a longer lead time, especially for large-scale projects.

We highly recommend Alcove Joinery for those seeking professionals who can fit bespoke wardrobes in all kinds of spaces. One client we spoke to commended them for adapting to the awkward layouts of his understairs.
What’s great is that they build two kinds of wardrobes. Traditional hinged wardrobes provide full, immediate access and are ideal for internal customisation. On the other hand, modern sliding wardrobes save space by not requiring outward clearance.
Aside from their speciality, they can also supply made-to-measure doors, plinths, and more. Simply, they really excel in building fitted units.
However, what drove us to include them here is the 3D CAD visuals they produce. Through this, clients can preview the exact outcome of the project. This service has a nominal fee, which will be deducted from the invoice when they proceed.
That said, they’re not the ideal carpenters to consult for large projects, such as renovation. This is because they solely focus on building fitted furniture.

Last but not least, many people we spoke to said that they clean the site very well once the project is finished. This leaves them nothing to worry about once the team leaves.
That said, they outsource some of their work, especially on large projects. The problem with outsourcing is that it sometimes leads to inconsistent workmanship, unlike a fully in-house team.
