The 5 best chiropractors in Newcastle when your back’s had enough

Registration: Are they active members of the General Chiropractic Council (GCC)? This makes sure that they adhere to the UK medical and safety standards.

Techniques: We assessed how proficient they are in various adjustment methods, such as Diversified, McTimoney, or even specialised Upper Cervical care.

Diagnostic Facilities: We evaluated their in-house diagnostic tools. Are they updated and modern?

Patient Outcomes: We reviewed patient testimonials too. We looked at successful pain resolution, long-term recovery plans, and bedside experiences.

I’m sure a lot of people have experienced this: trying out a few massage spots, feeling amazing right after, only for the back pain to sneak back in a few days, like it never really left.

If that happens a lot, maybe it’s not a spa day you need, but a chiropractor appointment.

The good news is, you don’t have to figure it out on your own. Our team has already done the legwork and checked out some of the best chiropractors in Newcastle.

So if that nagging pain is getting in the way of your day-to-day, this list should help you skip the guesswork and get straight to what actually works.

How much does a chiropractor’s service cost in Newcastle?

A chiropractor’s service in Newcastle typically costs about £45–£80 for an initial appointment and around £35–£65 for follow-ups.

Gosforth Family Chiropractic is one of the clinics we’ve commonly heard about when we asked Newcastle residents about chiropractors. The assessment process seems to be a big part of their pitch.

They use an MSK Analysis Pro alongside a full evaluation. This means they go beyond the usual quick “crack and go.” Clients actually backed this up.

A lot of people mentioned Jacob, the lead chiropractor. He explains what’s happening in plain English and then gets to work fixing it.

When it comes to results, the feedback is strong, especially for chronic issues. One long-term back pain sufferer described immediate relief after their first session. He also mentioned sustaining improvement over a structured program.

It also helps that the front-of-house experience is great. Patients talked about smooth scheduling and a warm welcome every time they step inside the clinic.

That said, their popularity comes with a trade-off. They’re pretty in demand, so you’ll likely need to book ahead.

Pros

  • Thorough assessment approach
  • Strong patient outcomes for chronic pain
  • Clear communication
  • Warm and friendly reception
  • Structured treatment plans

Cons

  • High demand/limited availability

Best thing I ever did was to go and see Jacob

“Best thing I ever did was to go and see Jacob, the improvement I have had has been amazing. When I first visited I had lower back pain, sciatic issues, my posture was not good and had pain when walking and standing too long. 3 months on I have much improved posture, hardly any pain, walking much better and feeling good with the additional advice on supplements and exercises. Highly recommend Jacob, it’s a really friendly family chiropractor, very supportive and I will continue improving with my treatment.”

For those looking for holistic therapy wellness, Wellness Centre Newcastle is a great choice. They’re not just a chiropractic clinic, because that’s only part of their broader services.

Established in 2005, they comfortably treat everyone from newborns to athletes. From what we’ve heard, their methods are gentle and targeted at spinal adjustments.

Sometimes, they’d even offer extras like posture advice, rehab exercises, and even acupuncture when needed.

It was interesting to hear how attentive their practitioners are. Clients don’t just get relieved from symptoms. They are also taught how to manage those symptoms going forward.

There are also non-chiropractic services offered here, like the aromatherapy massage. It got just as much praise since clients found it easy to communicate their preferences.

Just remember that their pricing sits slightly above the Newcastle average.

Pros

  • Strong multidisciplinary setup
  • Highly adaptable
  • Long-standing practice
  • Inclusive patient range
  • Good communication
  • Positive early results

Cons

  • Higher pricing

Can’t wait for my next treatment

“I received a few relaxation treatments as a gift. I had an Indian head massage. First one I’ve ever had and it was amazing. So relaxing. Lucy was fab, explained everything she was going to do. Can’t wait for my next treatment.”

Forest Hall Chiropractic Clinic leans heavily into traditional chiropractic care. Don’t worry, though, because all is done with enough flexibility.

They do best at the Diversified technique, which is the classic hands-on adjustment. It’s direct, it’s physical, and judging by the feedback, it works.

But they don’t just stop there. For more complex or sensitive cases, they bring in options like Sacro Occipital Technique (SOT), Activator, and Thompson table techniques.

That’s great because it makes them adaptable across age groups and pain tolerances. In one case, a patient even went from barely being able to stand for 15 minutes to returning to full activity within a month!

We also noticed that they have a long-term client retention. One patient has been going here since 2009 and still comes in for monthly checkups. For us, that trust built is always a good sign.

However, the limited operating hours can be a drawback for some. They close early on Saturdays and don’t operate on Sundays.

Pros

  • Wide range of chiropractic techniques
  • Strong focus on pain relief and recovery
  • Good patient experience
  • Experienced practitioners
  • Suitable for different patient sensitivities

Cons

  • Early Saturday closing

Been going to this clinic for nearly three years now

“Been going to this clinic for nearly three years now. After I hurt myself, I was in agony for about four months. After seeing Angel a few times she corrected my shoulders and neck. Since then she has helped with many injuries and helped quite a lot with info and advice to help me look after myself better.”

Newcastle Chiropractic Clinic is, by far, the most technique-driven for us on this list. A huge reason behind this is Dr Finn, the lead chiropractor, who knows everything about the spine.

He knows a lot of techniques, such as Gonstead, torque release, activator, and manual diversified. This gives clients a lot of choices. It’s also helpful that they’d explain treatment and adapt their approach, especially with more sensitive patients like children.

Through client feedback, we heard similar patterns of rapid relief, better flexibility, and improved posture. Every case is consistently solved with ease.

We also loved that they have an on-site X-ray, which can change the pace of the experience completely. Patients can get assessed and diagnosed without the usual back-and-forth of referrals and waiting times.

Even follow-ups are responsibly managed. It suggests that the clinic really pays attention to continuity.

We heard about one minor drawback, though. A few people said the appointments can sometimes run late. To their credit, the staff seems proactive about communicating delays.

Pros

  • Strong diagnostic setup
  • Wide range of techniques
  • Fats reported results
  • Strong patient care experience
  • Good for complex cases

Cons

  • Occasional late appointments

The clinic has a warm, professional atmosphere, and you can tell they genuinely care about their patients. Ramsay Chiropractic & Laser is one of those clinics that quietly steps outside the usual chiropractic setup. Based on everything we looked at, that’s exactly its advantage.

Most places focus heavily on adjustments, but here the approach is broader and a bit more advanced. Under Luke Ramsay, the clinic blends traditional spinal work with treatments like cold laser therapy and prolozone injections.

This clinic works best when the problem isn’t simple. People end up seeing real progress because of this combination, especially when other chiropractors haven’t worked out.

One promising case we heard was from someone dealing with a severe herniated disc. After months of pain, heavy medication, and multiple treatments elsewhere, he went here.

Luke didn’t pretend chiropractic care alone would fix everything. Instead, he laid out the situation honestly and suggested ozone therapy as the more realistic path, and it did work.

That said, these advanced treatments can take time. Some patients even mentioned needing multiple sessions a week at the start, which can cost more.

Pros

  • Integration of regenerative treatments
  • Great for complex cases
  • Honest and realistic practitioner
  • Personalised consultation
  • Non-invasive focus

Cons

  • Often requires multiple sessions
  • Costs can add up

At Ramsay Chiropractic, you can trust that you’ll get great care

“At Ramsay Chiropractic, you can trust that you’ll get great care from knowledgeable professionals. As a local chiropractor, I really appreciate the wonderful treatment I have received from here. They are really good at helping people function better, feel better and stay healthy…”

Jacob Palmer, Google review

I highly recommend him

“Last year I had an excruciating sciatic pain, I was really desperate. I went to a few chiropractors but got no results: total waste of time and money. Luckily, one of them eventually gave me the contact details of Dr. Ramsay, saying that he is the ultimate chiropractor in Newcastle. He really is. Without wasting any time, Dr. Ramsay tried a couple of methods until he found the perfect one for my problem. The pain went away and never came back. He is so honest and knowledgeable. I’m not sure he’s a human, he must be an angel. I highly recommend him, and this is a genuine review: if you have any issue with sciatica, go directly to him.”
