The 5 best osteopaths in Newcastle for real relief that lasts
What starts as a simple task can sometimes end with a back that suddenly refuses to cooperate. At this point, even basic movements feel like negotiations with your own body, and the idea of “it’ll pass” stops sounds convincing.
It’s usually around then that people begin weighing up next steps. For other people, that means heading straight to an orthopaedic specialist or exploring a more hands-on approach first. Osteopathy often sits in that middle ground.
Instead of leaving it to chance, we did the legwork for you. This guide takes a closer look at some of the best osteopaths in Newcastle! Now, you’ll know who to visit when things start feeling a little out of alignment.
How much does an osteopath appointment cost in Newcastle?
An osteopath appointment in Newcastle usually costs around £50–£90 for an initial consultation. Follow-up sessions are cheaper, often around £40–£70.
1. InTune Clinic

Address: Osborne Terrace, Jesmond
Phone: +44 191 743 2894
Business hours:
- Monday to Friday: 10 AM – 5:30 PM
- Saturday: 10 AM – 4 PM
- Sunday: Closed
The best thing we saw about InTune Clinic is how they think about the whole body rather than just alleviating symptoms. They do this by having a very thorough first session.
Patients don’t just lie down while someone pokes at their back. They’ll talk through history, movement, habits, and triggers in detail before any hands-on work even begins.
They also have great accuracy. For instance, a client mentioned that Ryan’s initial diagnosis ended up matching scan results later on.
Even timelines and expectations were given. We loved this because patients are given a set direction as to how they’ll progress.
Sessions aren’t repetitive too. They evolve based on how your body responds. Sometimes, they’d give at-home work, like rehab exercises, to continue the treatment even after the session is done.
It’s worth noting that they have a strict 24-hour cancellation policy, though. For those with chaotic schedules, that policy could feel a bit unforgiving.
Really good facilities and kind helpful staff
“My first visit was to see caleb for a massage, was excellent chatty throughout, put me at ease. Help out my aches and pains wonderfully. Went again today to have some work done by Ryan the osteopath, can’t thank him enough. Bit tender afterwards but I’ll feel like a million quid tomorrow, Really good facilities and kind helpful staff. Definitely worth the visit”

In just 4 visits I can already see and feel the progress I’m making
“I highly recommend Ryan and Amanda. Ryan previously saw me for back and neck problems over several months with excellent results. Then 7 months ago I had a bad accident and needed shoulder surgery. Even though I had NHS physio sessions progress was slow and resulted in an acute frozen shoulder. I couldn’t wait to get the all clear to return to Ryan for his help. In just 4 visits I can already see and feel the progress I’m making and managing to get movement again, feel so much happier. I have total faith and trust in Ryan, he is the best Osteopath I have ever had. Also puts you at ease and is very likeable.”

2. Fruition Osteopathy

Business hours:
- Monday: 9 AM – 5 PM
- Tuesday to Thursday: 9 AM – 9 PM
- Friday: Closed
- Saturday: 10 AM – 4:30 PM
- Sunday: Closed
Some osteopaths quietly lock you into a never-ending cycle of appointments. Well, that’s not how Fruition Osteopathy works.
Chris understands the root of the issue, treats it hands-on, and then gives you the tools to not need him quite so much. A client mentioned getting short exercise videos he could easily follow through with after his session.
They’re pretty well-rounded here too. There’s a mix of osteopathic manipulation, massage, and movement-based rehab. The clinic seems to understand that without movement work, the results might not stick.
We heard a ton of great feedback for the results. There were reports of improved range of motion even after a single visit!
Considering all of it, we understand why they’re pretty popular in the area. But that’s the thing. Waiting times can be long sometimes, so we suggest booking in advance.
Chris has some magic hands and great skills
“Chris has some magic hands and great skills. After one session with him I felt so much better and my stiffness and pain in my back, neck and shoulders was eased massively and I could move so much better. Will defo be back for some more work! Thank you”

Excellent results on all occasions
“I have been to see Chris for a few different issues. Excellent results on all occasions, he doesn’t try to get you back in for appointments if problems can be sorted at home with exercises he provides. Can’t recommend enough.”

3. Wellness Centre Newcastle

- Tuesday: 8 AM – 7 PM
- Wednesday: 1 PM – 7 PM
- Thursday to Friday: 8 AM – 7 PM
- Saturday: 7:30 AM – 1:30 PM
- Sunday: Closed
For a centre that offers a broad service, the Wellness Centre Newcastle is impressively organised and welcoming. They have a calm and airy environment, which helps patients relax more.
People usually go here after hitting a wall elsewhere, especially with more conventional routes.
One patient shared giving up on NHS physio before finding relief through the clinic’s remedial massage. He then saw a major turning point once osteopathic care came into play.
Sessions here aren’t rushed or strictly capped, especially the initial ones. We loved that they really do a proper assessment.
The flip side? That same flexibility can make scheduling tighter, especially for a multi-disciplinary setup where demand is naturally higher.
But hey, their multi-disciplinary model is one of their biggest strengths. Having osteopathy alongside sports therapy, massage, and more holistic treatments means patients can move between services without starting from scratch each time.
An outstanding osteopath
“Robert Heslop is an outstanding osteopath. Clearly knowledgeable, he has a great approach to treatment being friendly & approachable, as well as being technically precise.”

Body Repair Clinic LTD is like a performance hub that can fix your body in the process. Chela Collingbourne, the lead practitioner of the clinic, contributes a lot to the clinic’s reputation.
Her background stretches beyond osteopathy into sports therapy, rehab, and personal training. She gets a lot of praise not just for her clinical skill but also for making sessions enjoyable.
The team really do best in bridging the gap between injury rehab and performance. This is especially clear in their focus on musculoskeletal issues, pelvic floor work, and return-to-sport programmes.
If you’re someone who trains regularly (gym-goers, dancers, martial artists), you’ll probably get a lot of value here.
Sometimes, they even integrate osteopathy with exercise rehab and even Pilates-based methods.
That said, their pricing is a bit higher than the other clinics we’ve looked into.
Chela’s hands are healing hands
“Amazing! Chela’s hand are healing hands. I was in so much pain with my shoulder due to a trapped nerve. I only needed 1 treatment and I felt back to pain free. Chela also fixed my 78 year old Dads back when he was also in severe pain. The lady is a godsend! Lovely clean professional clinic with great staff and the best osteopath.”

A phenomenal osteopath
“Love all the girls that work here, Chela the owner is a phenomenal osteopath and honestly just makes your day with how funny she is! Lana the queen of sports massage, can always rely on her to sort out the knots in my back even if I want to kill her sometimes from the pain and then you Alana the newest staff member sorting my lashes out. They always look fab and I can not fault her for the aftercare she provides! One stop shop for everything a gym girl needs!”

5. Tyneside Osteopathy

Address: 5 Upper Norfolk St, Tynemouth, North Shields
Phone: +44 191 257 0663
Business hours:
- Monday to Friday: 9:30 AM – 6 PM
- Saturday to Sunday: Closed
We heard a lot of great feedback about Tyneside Osteopathy, especially with the improvements in client issues.
Some even reported an immediate relief after a session, even though the pain had been something they’ve been dealing with for years. We noticed they excel with chronic conditions and postural issues.
A huge reason is how rooted their approach is in the why behind the pain. Their treatments themselves tick a lot of the right boxes.
They combine soft tissue work, stretching, joint mobilisation, and manipulation. What stands out is how personalised everything is.
They’d even explain everything before treatment. It’s reassuring if you’re not keen on someone cracking joints without warning.
It’s worth noting that there were a few reports of slower response times during initial inquiries, though.
I will be back if I get any future problems
“I had terrible back and shoulder pain, waking up most of the night. I have been to see Hannah for 3 visits now. And she has been amazing. I am now not waking up at night. I can’t recommend her enough. I will be back if I get any future problems. Thank Hannah you have been amazing. Lovely lady”

After just one session, I felt significantly better
“I had a very positive experience with my recent visit to Andrew for lower back pain and a stiff shoulder. He took the time to carefully assess my condition and clearly explained the treatment he was going to perform. After just one session, I felt significantly better and could go about my daily activities with much more ease and comfort. I highly recommend Andrew to anyone in need of professional and effective osteopathic care.”
