I interviewed families to find the 5 best home health care services in Liverpool
Just last month, I was looking for the best home care agencies in Liverpool. Like most people, I started with a quick Google search. And like most people, I ended up 10 pages in before I realised my approach was no use.
I need to do things differently if I have to find answers beyond what’s already in websites.
I spoke directly to families who use these services each day. These are families across Liverpool who have firsthand experience with carers who offer compassionate and expert care to their loved ones.
Based on multiple series of interviews, I finally found the best options. These are my findings based on real experiences and real conversations.
How much do home health care services cost in Liverpool?
The cost of home health care services in Liverpool ranges from £19 to £38 per hour for visiting care. Live-in 24-hour care usually ranges from £900 to £1,400 per week.
1. Caremark Liverpool

What first struck me about Caremark was their reliability. Carers arrived exactly when needed, sometimes multiple times a day.
Multiple clients noted this, so it instantly made me feel reassured.
I was also impressed with the variety of services they offer. Every care plan is tailored, from dimension and stroke support to respite care.
Multiple families also connect with them for personal care and companionship services.
Other than personal care services in Liverpool, it’s also their management that earned our favour. The office team was approachable and responsive. This made scheduling and requesting easier to make.
Flexibility is another strength. Based on what I’ve heard from others, they can adjust schedules, provide night care, and respond to emergencies fast.
The only thing I want to emphasise is the rates. While others felt that the value for money is there, others say the fees feel expensive.
I recommend requesting a full breakdown of billing.

The first contact always matters, and Apollo made an impression on me. I felt the warmth just by interacting with their staff, which I take as a good sign of care.
Additionally, the range of personal care services is thorough. But the highlight is definitely the way they deliver care.
I’ve heard multiple stories of carers who assist with hygiene and mobility while respecting independence.
They’re pretty capable, too, on the overall scale of things. For nutrition planning, meals are safely made with adequate taste. Carers handle errands (like laundry) to offer daily support to families.
The range of specialised care also stood out. Some of their offerings include support for dementia, Alzheimer’s, and end-of-life support.
This means clients can rely on them for support at any life stage.
However, one thing kept buzzing about during my chats with families. Some of them questioned the professionalism of the staff.
I’ve marked this as an isolated case, considering it’s a one-time feedback.

Clients seem to agree that Amore’s strongest offering is how they make things easy. They arrange home health care in Liverpool fast. Plus, their prompt and clear communication made clients feel at ease.
I liked that the services are tailored and flexible. Caregivers help with daily tasks and residential support. That means families don’t have to worry if a patient is getting well-rounded care.
The staff also goes above and beyond. One of the things that stood out to me was how they adjust care plans when needed.
Families also told me that each visit feels personalised. Through approaches like this, they feel the genuine care they’re looking for.
Responsiveness was another highlight. Any schedule changes or extra support were handled quickly.
Communication was also immediate. If anything happens, families feel secure that they can rely on them with just one call.
Considering the level of service, I wasn’t so surprised to see the relatively higher fees. It may be good to note, though, for families on a budget.

Personalisation is one of the most cited reasons why families choose Homecarers. Everyone I interviewed said that the staff really took the time to understand their needs.
They also felt that the care plans were flexible and respectful of the patient.
I loved the variety of services. From personal care to medication support, every offering is thoughtfully designed to prioritise comfort and independence.
Even the carers stood out. Just chatting with them, I can tell how warm and friendly they were. On the job, they’re punctual, attentive, and professional.
As for communication, the team makes everything easy. Even contacting them for general inquiries was stress-free.
Families also say they’re quick to accommodate requests whenever possible. The reassuring attitude of the staff also lifted their spirits during tough moments.
One small hiccup we noted was that there were multiple reports of cancellations. There were also a few complaints of late calls from time to time.

After several interviews, I can confidently say that Future Living really made the mark, that’s because of how thoughtful they are when it comes to live-in care in Liverpool.
Across various instances, clients always mentioned consistency and compassion.
The level of communication here happens to be my favourite, too. They provide detailed updates in the app, including photos of meals.
Families are also able to message carers directly in the app. If there are any concerns or requests, it’s almost guaranteed to be met promptly
This is one big point for reassurance, especially if the family is away for some time.
Services are broad and flexible. They offer key services from domiciliary to respite care. Families can also access more specialised services, such as neuro-rehabilitation and palliative support.
That said, costs can be high, so they may not be the most accessible option for everyone. For a highly personalised approach, I can say they’re worth the money.
Can’t give enough praise
“We have been working closely with future living care for over a year now for my mother’s twice-daily care. It is not an easy job to do but the individual carers show great compassion and understanding of a difficult situation and allow us, the family, to spend time as son and daughter rather than carer. We cannot give enough praise to the staff involved in Mum’s care and would not hesitate to recommend the service to others. Any minor problems that arose have been sorted quickly and efficiently between us. They are best about call now they will take so much pressure off the whole family.”
