Hours:
Tuesday to Friday: 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM | 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Finding a delicious veggie meal in the city centre gets much easier when you head towards Fleet Street, where you’ll find OMNOM.
This lovely wellness-focused eatery offers an incredibly soothing dining experience that mixes authentic Indian flavours with a dedicated space for yoga and mindfulness.
The kitchen creates wonderful plant-based dishes using fresh, local ingredients daily. When I dined here, I really took my time enjoying the comforting tarka dhal and deeply spiced jackfruit biryani.
On top of that, they operate entirely as a charity, which means every single meal you buy actually helps feed a child in the developing world.
On the downside, the limited lunch hours during the week can make it tough to pop in for a quick afternoon bite.
Customer Reviews:
Highly recommend
Honestly, to serve south asian food and for it to stand out in Birmingham…AND to make it ethical and meat-less… Omnom is a gem.
The food was genuinely delicious. Each curry we ordered was packed with flavour. The starters were amazing.
Service was exceptional.
Ambience and setting was well done- it was relaxed and comfortable.
I highly recommend Omnom- particularly if you are vegan!

Proper cooking with great ingredients
We ate on a quiet Wednesday in January but the food and service were excellent. So good to have a complete and extensive fully vegetarian (most with vegan option) menu with no garlic (or onion). Proper cooking with great ingredients. Not inexpensive, and servings are about-right rather than very generous, but we ate very well. Nicely decorated, warm, well lit, not all hard surfaces, well staffed, and a calm and enjoyable mood.

2. Land Restaurant

Website: http://land.restaurant/
Address: 30 Great Western Arcade, Colmore Row
Contact: 0121 236 2313
Hours:
Wednesday: 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Thursday: 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Friday to Saturday: 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM, 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Hidden away inside the historic Great Western Arcade is Land Restaurant, which focuses on a highly creative fine dining experience using seasonal produce to showcase bold flavours.
When I treated myself to their full six-course menu recently, I was completely blown away by the artistic presentation of their roasted king oyster mushroom and a rich, smoky potato dish.
The kitchen team brilliantly elevates humble garden vegetables into high-end culinary masterpieces that easily rival the top fine dining restaurants in Edinburgh for pure culinary imagination.
But keep in mind that their operating hours are quite limited, with early-week closures and narrow booking windows for both lunch and dinner.
It’s also an expensive option, so it functions best as a special treat rather than a regular mid-week hangout.

Outstandingly inventive vegetarian fare
Outstandingly inventive vegetarian fare with influences from different corners of world cuisine, especially with a 3-course weekday menu that’s an absolute steal. The drinks are so well done too, and really warm service with some lovely recommendations!

Inspiring
What a lovely evening out at this restaurant, very intimate and relaxed atmosphere, wanted to try it although we are not vegan or vegetarian as I find it is inspiring, How tasty you can make these dishes without meat. Next time we will possibly try the wine pairing also .

3. BA-HA

Hours:
Tuesday to Friday: 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM

BA-HA consists of an award-winning team that has reinvented humane dining by serving up bold, flavour-packed comfort food where the dishes do all the talking.
Operating right out of The Rainbow pub, they serve massive, highly affordable portions of plant-based burgers and crispy vegan chicken wings that stand proudly alongside top restaurants in London for pure comfort and indulgence.
The passionate co-founders have been entirely plant-based since 2018, which really shows a beautiful commitment to animal welfare. Plus, they offer fantastic external catering services for intimate local gatherings or major festivals.
But you should note that the lively pub setting means the atmosphere gets incredibly loud, which might not suit anyone hoping for a quiet, intimate evening meal. It’s also closed on Mondays.

Value for money
This was the first time I have been and my partner is vegetarian and I am a meat eater and I want to say this is the best vegan food I have ever eaten. It was fresh and tasty and look forward to going back. We had the chicken and waffles, truffle mac and cheese and the bish and chips and it was all amazing. We had the sweetie cocktails which were lovely. You definitely get value for money and quality.

10/10
One word. Incredible. We had 2 burgers and a dirty fries from their van at Beyond festival and we couldn’t get over how amazing it was. Possibly the best vegetarian burger either of us had ever had, and it was vegan… 10/10 would recommend.

4. Barsana Pure Vegetarian

Website: https://www.mybarsana.co.uk/
Address: 69 High St, Harborne B17 9NS
Contact: 0121 221 9050
Hours: Daily: 12:30 PM to 10:30 PM
If you appreciate a more elegant night out, Barsana Pure Vegetarian is a great choice with its posh fine-dining vibe that pairs traditional Indian flavours with creative Chinese fusion options in a fully meat-free environment.
The extensive menu features exceptional regional specialities like the rich Paneer Lababdar and a highly fragrant mushroom biryani. They also serve up unique fusion twists like a saucy Indo-Chinese chilli paneer.
A close friend of mine who dines here regularly always emphasizes how wonderful the warm, inviting setting is for large family celebrations.
However, they introduce completely unrelated items like pizzas alongside authentic subcontinental curries, which might dilute the traditional dining experience if you prefer a strictly authentic subcontinental meal.
Also, because it gets incredibly popular on weekends, you definitely need to secure a table well in advance.

Top-notch
I was visiting this place second time, and i must say the food quality and service from the employees were exceptionally great. Being a vegetarian myself this place is a fine choice for vegetarians and vegans in Birmingham. They also modify your orders if you want extra spicy or mild food. The ambience is very luxury and OMG I can’t just stop drooling over at their food items. It’s my favourite restaurant in Birmingham. Top-Notch

Perfect vegetarian meal
I have just had the perfect (vegetarian) meal with my son this evening. The service was exceptional so polite and kind. The food was delicious and healthy. Fresh and well prepared ingredients left us feeling utterly satisfied with our choices.
The restaurant is warm and ambient which is perfect for an autumn evening. We were celebrating Diwali and they had little shrine in the corner which was a lovely touch.
I can’t wait to bring the rest of my family here.
Thanks again to the team at Barsana pure vegetarian.

5. Vegan Falafel Munch

Website: http://www.veganmunch.co.uk/
Address: 638 Bristol Rd, Birmingham B29 6BJ
Contact: 0121 472 7277
Hours: Daily: 11:30 AM to 10:00 PM
Vegan Falafel Munch stands out as the first fully healthy vegan bar in the UK, specialising in fresh, house-made shawarma wraps and plant-based doner kebabs.
The kitchen uses a clever mix of secret spices and high-quality soya to recreate incredibly satisfying textures.
You can easily pair a bursting wrap with freshly made-to-order smoothies packed with vibrant superfoods like spirulina.
They operate with an admirable ethical mission to champion sustainability while serving up top-tier takeaway food.
But you should keep in mind that the simple layout is primarily tailored for rapid takeaways, so the venue completely lacks options for a formal, relaxed evening dinner. It’s perfect for food on the move but less ideal for date nights.
Customer Reviews:
Highly recommend
My partner and I order from here regularly, I’m a vegetarian and he’s a gluten intolerant vegan, we love the food here, it’s reasonable for the portion sizes and always arrives hot and well packaged! Our go-to is the shawarma fries box, highly recommend!
